The following quote from Obama demonstrates quite clearly that he is not on the side of the Earth, nor of the American people (my emphasis added):
But the fact is that my administration has approved dozens of new oil and gas pipelines over the last three years, including one from Canada. And as long as I’m president, we’re going to keep on encouraging oil development and infrastructure, and we’re going to do it in a way that protects the health and safety of the American people.
By approving the southern leg of the Keystone XL pipeline, and implying that the remainder would be approved, he has destined this country — and world — to nosedive even further into climatic chaos. He’s gonna have even more blood on his hands, beyond all the innocent lives his drone strikes have snuffed.
Phrases such as “Yes, we can!” and “Change we can believe in!” pollute my mind as shadowy memories of a dubious presidential campaign, full of snide maneuvering, empty promises, and above all else — exceptionally refined manipulation of both the American people and the world.
